His playstyle is very different from Raidens, but I think it's a nice change of pace. Few missions, and of the few there were, none of them were particularly memorable.Īll in all, I say give Sam a try. While I'm a sucker for the Jetstream DLC, I do agree that the Bladewolf DLC was very, very disappointing. All in all, I would gladly have payed for it, I think it's a great addition, gives some backstory to Sam. According to series creator Hideo Kojima, the game's. Although a Japanese Xbox 360 version was planned, it was ultimately cancelled. They are harder to locate, though, as Sam doesn't have the vision thing Raiden does (I forget what they call it). Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (, Metaru Gia Raijingu: Ribenjensu) is a hack and slash game developed by PlatinumGames and produced by Kojima Productions for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows. Also, you mention not being able to upgrade DMG, HP, etc., but this is in fact possible. Sam is completely focussed on combat and has the most focused moveset seen in action games yet. Sam and Wolf are both extreme versions of either or Raidens side. Playing him as an offensive based character isnt great though, hes build for stealth and has more options that way. While the DLC is definitely harder, I don't think it is unfair. Wolf is a different beast (lol) then Sam, but fun in its own way. I suppose that is a matter of taste, though. I think his dodge is superior to Raidens, not to mention the taunt, which gives you increased DMG against enemies, with the tradeoff that they become more aggressive and their DMG increases as well. He isn't as button mashy as Raiden, with his short combos and charge attacks. Honestly, I enjoyed the two hours it took me to beat the Jetstream DLC way more than I enjoyed the main game.
